Brain Tumour Research is an ambitious charity, passionate about finding a cure for brain tumours through the establishment of dedicated Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence around the UK and challenging the Government and larger cancer charities to increase the national investment for research into brain tumours to £35 million a year and bring parity with other cancers.
Our vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. Our mission is to increase the UK investment in brain tumour research.

Systems Manager (Maternity Cover, Fixed Term Contract)
Job purpose:
To maintain and improve the efficiency and performance of the charity by reviewing existing systems and business processes, recommending and implementing improvements, additional functionality and data integration. Work with the wider team to develop, and where possible, automate routine high-quality management reporting, especially using the Charity CRM.
Contract Type: Full Time (35 hours pw) – Maternity Cover/Fixed Term Contract
Salary: c. £40,000 pa
Location: Head Office, Milton Keynes. We offer hybrid working, employees have the flexibility to work from home up to two days a week. There will be times when additional hours are required with this role to complete specific projects and achieve objectives.

Community Fundraiser – London
Job purpose:
You will help support our mission through delivery of strategic plans and objectives, by generating and growing our income through community fundraising activities.
You will help raise awareness by engaging people with our work and by recruiting and supporting the fundraising of individuals, challenge event participants, our Fundraising Groups and Charity of the Year partnerships.
You will help build and sustain our supporter base and provide excellent stewardship at all times.
Contract Type: Full Time – Permanent
Salary: Circa £32,500 (including London weighting)

Community Fundraiser – Wales
Job purpose:
As a Community Fundraiser you will support our mission, by delivering on our strategic plans, objectives and mission, through generating and growing our income through community fundraising activities.
Raising awareness and engaging with people with the work Brain Tumour Research does is another key purpose of this role. This is currently achieved through the recruitment and then supporting the fundraising of individuals, challenge event participants, our Fundraising Groups and Charity of the Year partnerships.
As well as growing our supporter base, you will sustain our supporter base and provide excellent stewardship at all teams.
Brain Tumour Research holds annual challenges and events to generate income, however as well as using these opportunities to generate income for the charity, Community Fundraiser’s will be expected to seek out, and support new opportunities.

- Own the recruitment of new prospects and all stewardship of supporters for our three key Wear A Hat Day events taking place throughout the year
- Develop and build the relationship with our Research Centre of Excellence in Plymouth
- Stewardship and management of Challenge events in your area and promotion
- Seek new opportunities to maximise fundraising across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset

Job Purpose: To own and develop our aspirational corporate fundraising proposition for Brain Tumour Research. To grow corporate income in order to deliver an annual £2,000,000 from corporate partnerships within five years.

Celebrity Manager
Job purpose:
To create and implement a best-in-sector celebrity strategy, raising awareness of brain
tumours, the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40.
After auditing the work we have previously done in this area, identify, recruit and retain
celebrities and influencers who are already engaged with a wide range of audiences and
who have a compelling reason to support the work of the charity.
Contract Type: Full Time – Permanent
Salary: Up to £35k pa
Location: Head Office, Milton Keynes. Flexible, Hybrid Working Model up to two days working from home pw.
Reports to: Head of PR and Communications
Line Management: None
Main duties:
Reporting to the Head of PR & Communications, you will be responsible for:
- Creating and leading on Brain Tumour Research’s celebrity strategy, identifying key objectives which support organisational priorities
- Identifying, recruiting, and retaining celebrities who are engaged with a wide range of audiences and who have a compelling reason to support Brain Tumour Research
- Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with celebrities and influencers engaging them in all areas of the charity’s work including fundraising, raising awareness and campaigns
- Secure opportunities for celebrities to participate in a wide range of activity to support and promote the objectives of the charity including in the news media and on social media

Fundraising Administrator
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Supporter Care Supervisor you will be responsible for providing administrative provision and support to the Community Fundraising Team, including liaising with supporters of the charity who are participating in events, are donors and updating information on our CRM database (Thank Q). You will also be maintaining electronic files of letters and documents such as thank you letters, event packs and legacy notifications. You will also be responsible for assisting with other administrative tasks as requires such as sorting post, working with the volunteers and liaising both internally and externally.
