National brain tumour research funding needs to increase to £30-35 million a year

BNOS invites Young Investigator Award nominations

The British Neuro-Oncology Society (BNOS) is inviting nominations for its Young Investigator Award 2022.

The award, which is co-sponsored by Brain Tumour Research, recognises a young researcher who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of neuro-oncology in the UK.

The recipient will be invited to speak during a dedicated session at the BNOS Annual Meeting, for which their conference fees will be waived. In addition, they will receive an award of £2,000 to attend one (or more) other neuro-oncology conference.

Dr Karen Noble, our Director of Research, Policy and Innovation, said: “We remain proud to jointly sponsor the Young Investigator Award with BNOS. It is vital that young researchers are recognised for their contribution and  encouraged to remain in the field of brain tumour research as their bright minds hold the key to unlocking the uniquely complex puzzle that brain tumours pose.”

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on Monday 4th April. Find out more at
